The UK’s largest group of people dedicated to action on climate change and limiting its impact on the world’s poorest communities. Our combined supporter base of more than 11 million people spans over 100 organisations, from environment and development charities to unions, faith, community and women's groups.
Together we demand practical action by the UK to keep global warming as far as possible below the 2 degrees C danger threshold.
The government has now accepted the advice of the independent Committee on Climate Change and agreed to strong climate change targets for the UK.
Last week the government was split on whether to accept this advice, but pressure from people like you, as well as an outcry from Stop Climate Chaos organisations and other groups like Green Alliance and 38 Degrees, pushed David Cameron to step in and do the right thing.
More than 50,000 people came together to demand action on climate change on Saturday 5th Dec at The Wave, the biggest climate change march in the world ever! We called for the Government to take much more urgent and effective action on climate change.
